Fall is where jackets earn their keep, and this was a good season to go looking. Between blazers, sweater-jackets, denim jackets and a few statement pieces, petite sizing turned out to be well represented across a nice mix of retailers this time around.
For this roundup, I looked at petite sizing, length, fabric and fit details so you can compare jackets before you buy rather than after. Jacket sleeve length is one spot where retailers are especially inconsistent about publishing measurements — of the 13 picks here, only one retailer listed an actual petite sleeve measurement. I’ve called that one out specifically; for the rest, I’ve noted the sleeve style (long sleeve, 3/4 sleeve, etc.) since that’s what’s available.
